Erica and Eli met me last week for their Lake Roland, Baltimore engagement session and I was so thrilled to be shooting in a new place. A lot of times there are a few iconic places that couples love to use for their engagement sessions, which is great, but I always encourage couples to choose a place that is special to them.
Originally we were going to meet in Fells Point, but Erica had a last minute change of heart and I was excited she switched to Lake Roland, Baltimore for their engagement session. When we arrived to Lake Roland, I was pleasantly surprised that in the one venue, we could get multiple different “looks”!
There is the trail that runs along the the MARK train, the pavilion building, the bridge over the damn, the limestone building/ dock area, and a couple other trails/ walking areas. With that amount of variety, I was thrilled and had so much to choose from, making their Lake Roland, Baltimore engagement session that much more fun for me!
To say I was excited for Erica and Eli’s wedding day would be an understatement. They are getting married at the BEAUTIFUL Houghton House at Wye River. I mean, COME ON!! A beautiful estate over the Bay Bridge is what photographer dreams are made of! We spent the evening talking all things life and wedding. Colors and florals and the “look” of their day. But also work and friends and family. I really felt like I knew them more as friends than clients when we left. And to make things even better, Erica’s sister-in-law, Pam- owner of the amazing Pins & Curls Hair Artistry, is not only doing her hair but is also in the bridal party. If y’all have not checked her work out- YOU SHOULD. I have worked with her a couple of times and she does amazing work!
Anyways, I can’t say enough good things about Erica and Eli and how much I loved their Lake Roland, Baltimore engagement session! Take a look at a few of my favorites from their session!
