Courtney and Mike’s New Years Eve wedding was one that I will remember forever. Not only is Courtney one of my very best friends in the entire world (we have known each other since high school) but she is also an amazing person. Courtney’s selfless nature not only extends to her friends and family but also in her career as a Police Officer. When Courtney asked me to be one of her bridesmaids but to also photograph her wedding, to say I was excited would be an understatement! I was over the moon! Not only did I get to document the love between one of my good friends and the love of her life, but I also got the honor of standing by her side throughout the day.
Courtney planned most of this wedding on her own and with the help of some of her friends and family as Mike was deployed for the majority of the time and she knocked it out of the park! From the sweet details for her bridal party to her memory and fallen hero table, she didn’t miss a thing! The evening was elegant and polished but had the perfect handmade details that made her wedding so unique! The day was full of laughs, inside jokes and reminiscing about the old times and I loved every bit of it!
This was the first wedding that I not only photographed but also was in the bridal party, which presented some challenges. However, I had an amazing team that I was able to rely on when I was needed in front of the camera as opposed to behind it and I cannot thank them enough!
